The synthesis and the characterization of new inorganic and/or hybrid organic-inorganic nanomaterials have been the subject of many research projects with high technological impact.
Among these nanostructured vanadium oxides, as cathode and electrochromic materials, seem good candidates for use in such devices, with their open crystal structures and their electrochemical performances.
However, industrial applications require simple and inexpensive methods of synthesis.
Thus, the hydrothermal method (soft chemistry) has been used for the synthesis of vanadium oxides nanomaterials with high purity and cristallinity.
The correlation of electrochemical and electrochromic performances with structural and morphological properties could leads to original applications such as electrochromic displays.
