In this project, the polymer, reinforced with available filler additives was prepared, characterized, tested, improved by image processing and intended for socio-economic application.
Polymers based on molecular forces include both thermoplastic and thermoset polymers.
The polyester is a thermoset material, and the candidate for the replacement of the metal, was selected as a matrix that can be reinforced with available fillers and additives to save costs and at least maintain matrix properties.
Consequently, the first work concerns fly ash particles and sawdust microfibers that can be used to strengthen and reduce the cost of polyester.
The second work is a simulation for the purposes of application.
Then, both the internal composite core and the outer metal core were modeled to improve application performance.
In the third work, both the inner and outer cores underwent processing more images to provide a suitable composite for the selected application.
The fourth work was to investigate alternative materials for polyester, which are necessary for the establishment of an enterprise.
Finally, the composite and the application designs were reported.
Souilah Zahi is a researcher at the Center for Advanced Studies, located in Algiers.
Before that, he was an academic lecturer at a university in Malaysia.
His experience in the field of science and technology is actively involved in basic research, applied research, scientific applications and innovations.
