The startup and growth of micro and small enterprises has become of great importance recently.
This is mainly because attempts to promote economic progress by establishing large industries have usually failed to improve the lives of the majority of the communities, particularly in the developing countries.
The full potential of micro and small enterprises is not yet realized due to the fact that they are facing various factors influencing their startup and growth.
Such influences have not received enough attention in the micro, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship literature.
The purpose of this volume is to provide the analysis of the influences of the startup and growth of micro and small enterprises in the context of developing countries on both theoretical and empirical grounds.
This volume, therefore, answers the following key questions: What are the influences of the startup and growth of micro and small enterprises? To what extent do the individual attributes and assets, business environment and institutional support affect micro and small enterprises startup and growth?

She holds Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Administration from the University of Dar es Salaam and Masters and PhD.
