This study was conducted to investigate the effects of abbreviated text messaging system towards students learning grammar in secondary school.
The area of the study was Samora Machell secondary school located in Mbeya city whereby the study covered the sample of 25 respondents, include teachers and students.
With the guide of the specific objectives stated as to find out the uses of abbreviated text messaging in students’ grammar, to investigate factors influence the use of abbreviated text messaging in students’ grammar, to identify the effects of abbreviated forms of text messages in students’ grammar and to identify the possible solution to help students be able to know the proper use of grammar according to context.
