This book reports the effectiveness of community radio stations in addressing social issues confronting the majority voiceless in the society.
It is a book developed from a small quantitative study conducted in Sengerema District in Mwanza City.
The overall findings show that Radio Sengerema which was the focus of this study does a very good job and community members in are satisfied with the content they get from the radio.
The major reason being that, radio Sengerema gives much concern to the interests and needs of the people.
But again the findings chart a bit contradiction because the very same people, who are satisfied with content from the radio, said they have not seen impact of the radio to their social lives.
This gives a lesson that informing people without setting some mechanisms to enforce them put into action what they get from media is equally wastage of time.
