Dr Jonathan Madu is a political economist with PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban.
Dr Madu is a senior researcher and he has taught in different African universities.
With other scholars, he co-founded the Centre for Promotion of Peace and Development, a research and development organization in Nigeria.
