Projects involved in water and sanitation have paramount contribution in the development of rural community.
Water and sanitation project, in addition to addressing their direct benefits of providing adequate water supply and sanitation services to the rural community, it has an impact on the health, education, women work load, agricultural production and productivity of the rural community.
This book has given emphasis on the impacts of rural water supply and sanitation project implemented by an international NGO in one of the rural communities of Ethiopia, Assosa woreda of Benishangul Gumuze regional state.
The main objective of this study was to assess the impact of the project on the target communities.
The impact of the project was significant in providing quality potable water in an accessible distance to the rural community especially for women.
The activities on the sanitation and hygiene promotion also contributed a lot in reducing communicable diseases.

Abebaye Ayele Molla has obtained his MA degree in rural development in 2013.
His 1st degree is in Agro.Economics.
He had long years of experiences in areas of program management, leadership, advising to humanitarian, government and the private sectors.
Currently he is a researcher in the areas of developmental programs, marketing and food security.
