Historians and researchers agrees that coffee was originated in Ethiopia particularly in southwestern parts which consists the districts of Limmu Awraja or the former Kaffa Täqelay Gezat (Province).
However, historical sources show that, commercialized coffee cultivation and drinking was started in Yemen then gradually blowout to the world.
