Crop farmers’ and pastoralists’ conflicts in Nigeria have been issues of concern over the last few decades.
In the conflict many settlements were burnt and villagers were murdered.
Attempt made to resolve these conflicts by governmental agencies only calm the conflict but could not provide sustainable resolutions.
The objectives of the study therefore were to investigate livelihood strategies of farmers and pastoralists, ascertain causes of conflicts, determine acceptability of existing conflict resolution approaches and identify appropriate sustainable conflict resolution approaches.
