The study investigated the effect of teachers’ transfers on pupil’s academic performance in Chisamba District in central province of Zambia.
The study used the case study in order to come up with the results.
The study objectives were; to find out the effect of teacher reporting to new stations on pupils’ academic performance in selected secondary schools in Chisamba District, to evaluate the academic challenges faced by pupils learning in Chisamba District, to identify the measures that can be used to identify challenges that pupils face.
The ministry of education has been emphasizing much on the transfers of teachers in schools either within the district, inter districts or inter provinces (Mwiti, 2007).
However, the effects of teachers’ transfers on pupils’ academic performance especially in civic education in Chisamba District had not been yet established, hence the need to curry out this research.
The teacher transfer has emerged as a significant problem affecting school performance and student achievement.
Hambulo Friday is a Teacher since 2010.
He is a holder of a primary school certificate, diploma secondary education, a bachelor of art with education, a masters degree in civic education as well as the master of educational management and administration.
