Access to safe water and sanitation in many developing countries has been a major problem.
This is because of many factors and despite the government and the non state actors attempt to correct the situation, the problem still persists.
This is due to socio-cultural factors that are rarely addressed when water, sanitation and hygiene programmes are put in place.
This book attempts to find out these factors and therefore, offers practitioners and other actors in this field an opportunity to understand some of the cultural and social factors which may hinder uptake of water and sanitation services.
