Radioactivity Monitoring in Kordofan States -Sudan
Estimation and monitoring radioactivity are great important for scientists, that it identifies and determines gamma radiation from environmental media.
The book describes on evaluation of the radioactivity level and assessment dose in uranium and thorium series, cesium and Potassium for soil, rocks and foodstuff samplec collected round the Kordofan state.
This process has been determined using Gamma ray spectroscopy Technique.
However, the results indicate the radioactivity level in the surveyed area was less than the global data reported in the UNSCEAR publications for normal background areas.
This work is overall strategic national programme on monitoring environmental radioactivity to contributing a radiation map for country, to be useful as a reference in the case of any radiation emergency of potential environmental impacts.
