With some female representation in parliament and in other high echelons of power, it is concluded that policy makers would tend to be sensitive and committed to making gender-sensitive policies.
Ghanaian women constitute about 90% of the thriving democracy’s informal economy.
Within this sector of the economy are Street Hawkers, who similarly participate in economic activity.
Most of these female street hawkers are not only prone to bearing the brunt of harsh circumstances of homelessness and other unimaginable dangers lurking in the streets, rather, they are compelled to practically ran from the rigorous hands of law enforcement officers in the city of Accra.
