The Water Shortage Problem (WSP) in Libya must be resolved through the Sea Water Desalination River (SWDR) to provide the Water Resources (WR) suitable for all uses:- Domestic, Agricultural, and Industrial.
In order to illustrate these ideas, a plan has been adopted to look into Part One – Is Desalination Libya's Ultimate Resource? I-Horizons and Future of Sea Water Desalination in Libya Evaluation of Water Resources II_Horizons and Future of Sea Water Desalination in Libya Longing for Sea Water Desalination River (SWDR) Part Two – Domestic Economics III-Great Man Made River's Capital Costs as Sunk Value IV-Great Man Made River's Capital Costs with Interest Rate Part Three – Environmental Impacts V-Sea Water Intrusion in Derna VI-Pollution of Water Resources in Benghazi comprehensive development and must be established The SWDR is established by •Integration of all innovations •Multipurpose plants •Cogeneration and coupling of power and water productions •Hybridization of thermal and membrane desalination, and Ground Water River(GWR) •Optimized -Utilization of wasted heat -Maximizing efficiency -Economical and cost analyses -Energy through Utilization of renewable energy.
