The present work addresses the profitability of music business in Mozambique.
It intends to study the challenges facing the sector in general, musicians, promoters and all involved in the development of music such as publishing, marketing and production system of the sector.
Basic elements of the study are policies, legislation, capacity building, cooperation and role of the music civil society in the development of the music.
The results of the study will be used for further comparative studies with successful countries on music business so that a model is built for Mozambique, aiming to establish a music industry.
Ofelia Da Silva acted as Programme Officer for Culture from 2000 to 2012 and as National Programme Officer for Culture (NPO) with duties, from 2013 until today, covering Cultural Diversity and Heritage Management.
She has been cultural comentarist in national televisions.
Ofelia Da Silva is married and has 3 children.
