Eating disorders in medical students
Eating disorders are among the most serious psychiatric disorders with a high mortality rate.Young adults, and especially students, are at risk of developing these disorders.
Medical students in particular, due to the demanding nature of their studies, are more susceptible to psychiatric disorders, including AUDs.These disorders are often unrecognized by future physicians.
Thus, a reliable estimate of their prevalence during medical training is essential in order to identify, treat and prevent them in this specific population.
