Superficial venous thrombosis is now considered to be an integral component of venous thromboembolic disease.
Given their frequency, the identification of their risk factors seems to be a major issue for the establishment of an individual benefit/risk profile allowing an adapted management.
The objective of this study was to identify the different risk factors for the occurrence of superficial venous thrombosis in our patients in order to prevent recurrences and to evaluate the evolutionary profile after a first thromboembolic episode.
